Republicans to Rally at Roundup on Sept 25

Republicans will rally forces in advance of the November elections when they gather for the Republican Roundup, to be held Saturday afternoon at Pottawatomie Park in St. Charles.

The annual event, sponsored by the Kane County Republican Central Committee, will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 25. Federal, state and local candidates and elected officials will attend.
Keynote speakers for the event are GOP gubernatorial candidate Bill Brady and US Rep candidate Randy Hultgren.

Brady is a small-business owner who has represented the 44th district as state Senator since 2002. Prior to that, he served as state representative for eight years.

Brady is currently Republican Spokesperson for the Senate Insurance Committee, and a member of the Senate Energy Committee, the Senate Environment Committee, the Senate Pensions and Investments Committee, and the Senate Revenue Committee. Among initiatives Brady has sponsored and supported are plans to limit campaign contributions, allow voters to recall public officials, and to bar state contractors from donating to campaigns.

Hultgren has represented the 48th district in the Illinois Senate since 2007. He serves as the Republican Spokesman on the Telecommunications and Technology Committee, and also serves on the Judiciary Civil Law; Financial Institutions; Elections; Labor; and Revenue committees, as well as the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules.

Pottawatomie Park is at 8 North Ave. in St. Charles. Tickets for the Republican Roundup are a person/ for a family, and include lunch. They can be purchased at the event.
